मनिमाई भीमाभाई देसाई
आजीवन निर्धन गाँव वालों के आर्थिक तथा सामाजिक विकास के लिए कार्य करने वाले मनिभाई देसाई का जन्म 27 अप्रैल , 1920 को सूरत में हुआ था । वर्ष 1942 में ' जूनियर बैचलर ऑफ साइंस ' की डिग्री प्राप्त की । गांधीजी से प्रभावित होकर स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन में शामिल हुए । गांधीजी के निर्देश पर उर्लीकंचन गाँव के गोशाला आश्रम में गरीब लोगों के लिए प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा तथा ऋण सहकारिता की व्यवस्था की । भारतीय एग्रो इंडस्ट्रीज फाउंडेशन ' की शुरुआत | कर बापू के गोरक्षण के सिद्धांत को | कार्य रूप दिया । पशुओं को खुर तथा मुंह की बीमारियों से बचाने के लिए वैक्सीन का निर्माण किया । देसाई की इस प्रतिबद्ध सेवा के लिए उन्हें 1982 का ' मैग्सेसे पुरस्कार ' दिया गया । 1993 में उन्होंने इस धरती पर अंतिम सांस ली ।
आज के दिन विज्ञान की उपलब्धि :-
सुपरजंबो जेट विमान एयरबस ए - 380 ने फ्रांस के टूलूज से अपनी पहली उडान भरी ।

• 1878 : कलकत्ता वि . वि . में महिलाओं की उच्च शिक्षा को अनुमति ।

Famous Indian personality
Manimai Bhimabhai Desai was born on 27 April 1920 in Surat, working for the economic and social development of poor rural villagers. In 1942, he received the degree of 'Junior Bachelor of Science'. Influenced by Gandhiji, he joined the freedom movement. On the instruction of Gandhiji, he arranged for natural medicine and loan cooperatives for the poor people in the Gaushala Ashram of village Uralikanchan. Indian Agro Industries Foundation launches' | Kar Bapu's theory of cow protection. Work was done. Created vaccine to protect animals from cracking and oral diseases. For this committed service of Desai, he was awarded the 'Magsaysay Award' of 1982. In 1993, he breathed his last on this earth.
